Brief Summary of Unit
This unit is to help the students understand what was going on at the time of the American Revolution and how the previous war, the French and Indian War helped the colonists. They will also learn how different areas and different economic standing made one think very differently about the war and Independence. Students will know how the Revolution got started, how it was fought, how it ended, and what America did afterwards as a free country. Students will learn about the prominent figure of the war and what kind of impact they had. By the end of the unit the students will have a much deeper understanding and appreciation of what happened to make us the country that we are today.
